"Bobby" Guthrie followed his father Gerald into the chief's office and served the department for many years as its president.
Robert 'Bobby' Guthrie, son of Gerald Devol Guthrie and Esda Ruth Blauvelt Guthrie, was a lifelong resident of North Rose.
In addition to service as Assistant Chief and Fire Chief, Robert served as Department President for many years. He was First Assistant Chief at the time of the 1983 Sodus Cold Storage fire and stepped up as relieving chief when Charles Tompkins stepped away.
