Fremont Sheldon Powers, son of Albert Leland and Marion Elizabeth Brown Powers, was born on June 16, 1909, in Palmyra, NY. Fremont was a physical education teacher within the North Rose School District.

He and his wife Sallie Everett Powers appear to have moved to North Rose in the late 1930s and then to Watertown, NY. He is noted in Watertown (1948) as the Director of Physical Education and coach within the Watertown School District. Fremont lived the remainder of his life in Watertown and raised six daughters with Sallie. Fremont and Sallie are buried in the Palmyra, NY, cemetery.
