- 1891North Rose Malt House Fire
An estimated $175,000 loss — roughly $6.5 million today.
- 1911Community petition to organize a fire company
Fire district boundaries established by law that April.
- 1912Founding of company, election of officers
T. B. Welch, President and Chief. Not yet under legal charter.
- 1915Charter granted by New York State
North Rose Chemical Company — 23 charter members. R. D. Dickinson, 1st Chief.
- 1916First fire station built on Caroline Street
- 1917West Main Street conflagration
Half the business district destroyed. A Hook and Ladder Company was organized in May.
- 1919Fifty members on the roll

- 1920Firemen's Fair Convention
Held at Oaks Farm, North Rose.
- 1923First fire siren installed
Atop the cold storage, later moved to the town park so it could be heard.
- 1924First motor engine: Buffalo Larrabee

- 1934Name restored to North Rose Fire Department
